FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is a risk assessment generated by AI legally valid?+
Alertitude generates a structured starting point grounded in EU directives and your country's national legislation. It is your responsibility to review, adapt, and sign off the assessment for your specific site conditions. The downloaded DOCX includes an AI disclaimer for transparency.
Which EU directives and national laws does it reference?+
Every report references the relevant EU Framework Directive 89/391/EEC and sector-specific directives (e.g., 92/57/EEC for construction sites). It also includes your country's national legislation — for example, ArbSchG and DGUV in Germany, CDM 2015 in the UK, ZVZD-1 in Slovenia, or Arbo-wet in the Netherlands.
What does the photo hazard detection do?+
Upload a site photo and AI analyses it for up to 10 safety findings. Each finding is numbered on the image, colour-coded by severity (red/amber/green), scored by likelihood and severity, and referenced to EU directives. The findings are included in your DOCX export alongside the hazard register.
What is the COSHH / chemical safety table?+
If your activity involves hazardous substances, Alertitude generates a chemical agents table compliant with EU Directive 98/24/EC. Each substance includes its health risk, workplace exposure limit (WEL/OEL), required PPE, engineering controls, and storage requirements. This is exported as a dedicated section in your DOCX.
What is included in the Toolbox Talk?+
The Toolbox Talk is a ready-to-use crew briefing document generated from your risk assessment. It includes an objective, key safety points specific to the activity, a hazards and controls table, mandatory and task-specific PPE with EN standards, an emergency procedure, and an attendance sign-off sheet. Download the DOCX, print it, and brief your crew.
Can I edit the downloaded DOCX?+
Yes. The output is a standard .docx file you can open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice. Add your company logo, modify hazards, adjust control measures, and customize it for your site.
How does payment work?+
Pay per assessment via PayPal or card — no subscription required. Your invoice is emailed automatically. Bundle options are available for assessments with Toolbox Talks, and consultant packs for multiple assessments.
Which countries are supported?+
All 27 EU member states plus the United Kingdom. Select your project country before generating, and the report will reference the correct national legislation — not just EU baselines.
